Sorry I have not posted in a few days. My husband and I were out of town. We were in Nashville visiting our family and helping them renovate their kitchen. I posted at the beginning of the year my "State of the Union" about how many times I would post and what to expect. I will say that it was a trial run and it was really hard to keep up with. I love this blog, and I am committed to challenging others to dig into God's word, but if you can imagine how long it takes to write, edit, and check it to make sure what I am posting is accurate. All that with doing a full-time job, writing for another blog (that is for my kampers) and then getting time to myself. All that being said, I think I will be more successful if I cut back to a 3 times a week blog. I can get ahead and really take the time to do it well. If I get to post something more than three times its just icing on the cake. I will continue to do Matthew until its done and then I will move onto James. I will also continue to post topical posts too. We are getting close to summer at Kanakuk Kamps and this will be a place for my staff to keep up with the summer biblestudy after they are gone...or before they come. My posts will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Today is Tuesday. I didn't post yesterday because I was on the road back from Nashville. So I will break the schedule I am setting today, post tomorrow and then post on Friday.
Today, I was going to post on Matthew until someone showed me this. I am floored and amazed. You might have seen this but since I am not a YouTube frequenter (most videos I see are emailed to me) I missed this one. This kid can recite who Jesus is in every book of the bible. No, Jesus is not mentioned in most of them (because the majority of the books of the bible are in the old testament) but God always shows Himself, His character, and His plan of salvation in all the books. What's even more amazing is that this little boy can recite them all. Its humbling really. Check it out:
