The bible has many different Typologies that you can study. Now, I know I just dropped a "doctriney" word on ya but let me explain. A typology is simply a study of "types". There are many people in the bible that are a "type" of Jesus. What do I mean by that? Most of the great men of the bible, while being completely flawed in sin, but if you study their lives you will see an element of their life that foreshadows what Jesus will do....better. Tim Keller of Redeemer Church in New York did a sermon called True and Better. Its awesome! Here is a 2 minute "snippet" of the good part. I have watched it like ten times already. He takes men and women of the bible and tells what they did and shows how Jesus does it better.
