Statement of Beliefs

This semester I am going through what I believe and why.  I think every follower of Christ should do this.  What an amazing opportunity to know what you believe and why.  When tested, you can go to scripture and remember what you believe.  When asked by peers about something you will be able to give an answer based on scripture.  Doing this helps you set yourself up to make life decisions based on God's word.  It sets you up to see your faith grow as you learn about the God that you serve.

 Do you have 15-20 minutes a day to study the Bible?
Can't figure out what bible study to do this year with yourself or others?

What I am going to do:
Each week there will be a different topic.  The topic will be announced on Friday of the prior week.

• Mon-Thursday on www.getupdigin.blogspot.com  I am going to write down 5-6 verses on that weeks topic.  I am not going to write any commentary or my thoughts, just the verses that I am reading. 
• You can use the comment section as discussion or questions with not only me but each other.
• Friday - I will the basics of what I believe based on the verses I gave you.  I will also announce next weeks topic.

What do you need?

• bible
• internet device.  (For example your phone will work to pull up the verses on www.getupdigin.blogspot.com
• Notebook and pen

What do you do?:

• Get online to get the verses.
• Look them up and start journaling or making lists/notes of what you believe based on that verse.  
• Ask questions or post additional verses on the comment section.
• You can even use these in bible studies you are leading or accountability/discipleship groups.
