This is your last reading before my post and a NEW Topic!!!!!  I am ending with a doosy so get ready.

Revelation 2 (and if you want extra credit read chapter 3)

Don't get too caught up in the imagry, before God tells about the events of the end times he has John dictate 7 letters to 7 churches that were present then.  The church was believers, period.  There was no First Baptist Branson and then 15,000 more denominations in one square block.  The church were the entire group of believers in that town.  Get a pencil and read how God encourages and rebukes some of the churches.  I know you dont know the details but you can tell what the churches are dealing with good and bad.  What are they?  Do modern day churches have some of these strengths and weaknesses?  What does it look like today?  I tell you what, I want to be in a church like Philadelphia (Rev. 2) and not Laodicea.
